Manufacturers of wire wheels, adapters and accessories. Their wheels don't use the normal Rudge-Whitworth splines on the hub and adapter (which we all know tend to wear), but rather a fairly large sawtooth surface at the perimeter of the inside face of the hub and the adapter. This avoids the age-old problem of worn splines. As of spring '98, a new set of four 14x6 chromed wheels and adapters was going for around $2K.
