[2002/Nov/25] We recently had what I consider to be a bad experience with White Post. I have had them do 4 jobs for me in the last 5 years or so and 2 of them have gone bad in a big way. The most recent was a '67 sprite dual master cylinder. They insisted on not only sleeving the cylinder but also rebuilding it to "make sure it was done correctly," at an additional cost of course. WE installed the cylinder and bled both clutch and brakes. The clutch made "squishing" sound and the pedal would sink to the floor and the car would start to move when standing in gear as at a stop light. The brake pedal was low and would pump up. We worked extensively to try to get the pedals high and firm, but could not. We sent the cyl. back and they claimed that they could find nothing wrong with either side of the master. They sent us a "different" master cylinder ass. We installed it and it works fine. We lost over 6 hours of time and next day air shipping charges and "Billy's" reaction was "well I'm glad it is working now". When asked about all of the time and agravation his only reaction was that he was glad that it was working now. -- Greg Solow <gregmogdoc@surfnetusa.com>

[Vendor supplied] Brake cylinders, better than new. Sleeved with brass to standard size, will also do sleeve and rebuild. Lifetime warranty against leakage! They will rebuild your power brake vacuum booster, disk brake caliper, servo, master and wheel cylinders, clutch cylinders and reline brake shoes. In addition to brake and hydraulic work, White Post is a complete restoration shop.

[1998/Sep/15] "Booster Dewey" rebuilds brake boosters by the score, and did a great job on my weird Italian license-made Bendix model. -- David Booth <Boothcrafters@worldnet.att.net>

[1998/Aug/12] Used them to resleeve my TR4-A's rear brake cylinders ($40each) and master cylinder ($50each). Very professional, and a pleasure to do business with. Turnaround was less than a week and the parts looked great. They even shrink-wrapped them in plastic to keep them clean....all I had to do was assemble with a rebuild kit and install. - Michael Godley <mgodley@tiac.net>
