[2000/Jul/17] [Vendor supplied] It started as a hobby back in the late 70's. The dutch importer for Rootes/Chrysler UK went bankrupt in 1980 and supply of spares was getting very difficult. This was when the dutch Rootes register was founded and a small stock of spares acquired. As of this time we supply parts for the whole Rootes Group range from 1936 onwards and have many rare parts still available from stock. Over 8000 partnumbers are available from stock. We use the Rootes/Chrysler UK partslists and part numbers for reference in our warehouse management system. Next to Rootes ( Hillman, Humber, Sunbeam, Talbot-Sunbeam, Commer Karrier and Singer ('56) cars and vans, we have a large selection of new Girling, Lockheed, Smiths and Jaeger parts available. We hold a vast stock of original Triplex windscreens (Alpine S1-2 & S3-5, Tiger (both laminated and tinted), Hillman Minx models (1950-76), Humber Hawk(1952-), Rapiers, Singers, Hillman Imp and Coupe models. This business is run as a mailorder company , although from 10.00am-17.00pm on most saturdays we have open house for people to collect their bits (by appoinment only), a chat and to discuss their cars and exchange restauration experiences. We do not carry out repairs.
