Probably the most comprehensive stock of Triumph parts in the country, reasonably good prices and excellent service. The service was better when they were smaller. Still good, though, and the MGB line is expanding. I have nothing but good things to say about Charles & co. This is my vendor of choice for new TR & MG parts!! Triumph TR250/TR6 The biggest, most detailed catalog ever for Triumph TR250, TR6. 190 pages; 200 illustrations; color printing; everything from major components to nuts & bolts listed and available for immediate shipment. They have some of the Churchill factory tools from time to time. Catalog available for all TR cars and Spitfires. They have reasonable stocks for GT6, but no catalog. The TR2/TR3/TR4/TR4A catalog is not very detailed, but they use the factory part numbers, allowing you to order direct from the factory parts book. A new catalog is promised. TRF specializes in Triumphs and supports the MGB; they are pretty clearly not in this for the money, but for the love of Triumphs.

[2001/Jan/24] This is strange .... Last fall the Roadster Factory sent out a mailer which heralded a sale on engine rebuilds. The price was enticing enough to get me to call. I was told to put my name on a list and they'd honor the sale price whenever I got the engine to them. No deposit was required. When I asked the turn around time I was told "six weeks; if we have the parts". When asked if they had the parts for my TR4A I was told that they did not have wet liners. They were vague when I pressed them about the timing of acquiring these parts. Ultimately I was patched through to the shop and spoke with the shop manager who said they parts were due in December. December came and went and still no wetliners. I then called around to the big TR houses and all of them had wetliners and said they were experiencing no problems getting supplies. -- "Peter Philips" <philip2@erols.com>
