Very friendly and it sounds like the place to go for a wood dash (he does about all of them). For my '69 GT6, a solid teak or walnut dash in $169.50, plus $5 shipping (to Missouri). Not bad! Easy to order - just put the info on a sheet of paper, along with credit card or COD info, and fax it to him. He does request you sketch your dash so he can feel sure he's got the right one. Someone sent me a message about another place that sells GT6 dashes. I can't remember the place. It turns out, Prestige sells dashes to this place! I guess that explains why the other place charges $209 for the same dash. - lesnyd@bb1t.monsanto.com (Larry E. Snyder)

Solid wood dashes are probably not as strong and vibration-resistant as plywood. I don't know how much difference this makes on most cars. On the Europa, the dash panel is structural, and it behooves one to stick to plywood. I had my koa dash glued to 9-ply baltic birch. -Phil Ethier They do hardwood and show-quality exotic wood veneer dashes for most British cars. Their promo materials say they've sold over 15,000 Triumph dashboards and have yet to have a dissatisfied customer! I ordered a custom TR4A dash in teak, with a fifth gauge hole instead of ashtray cutout, and am very pleased. -Chris Kent Kantarjiev

Dash Boards. I got a Keller dash for my gt6. It's beautiful and more than worth the price. He has many choices of woods and finishes. I think stock is least as expensive. I've refinished them in the past but when you see the quality of his work I say never again. Check 'em out./dickn The best source of dashes in the states we've (I'm a partner in JAE) found is Randy Keller of Keller (now Prestige) in the San Francisco area. Quality is exceptional, you get your choice of wood, etc, etc. As with any craftsperson/artist delivery can be slow and he ain't cheap. If you'd like to know what to look for in a good quality dash ask and I'll tell you what I know. We haven't had much luck with English dashes, and if it ain't right it's a long way to send it back. - Tom Eckstein <tomeck@rain.org>
