[2003/Apr/28] Ordered a gear reduction starter from his firm that went bad. Fellow replaced it in a heartbeat and wouldn't allow me to reimburse him for the difference between normal surface freight and 2nd day air. No problem with the replacement starter, either. [2001/Oct/31] "Incredible" is the only way to describe Paul's service, even after the sale. We bought one of his kits and installed it about 5 years ago. The tranny ended up eating its input bearing after about two years; Paul replaced it, including the case modifications, for a very nominal fee. Then we had problems with the starter jamming, so I pulled the whole thing out to try to see what was up. I sent it to Paul for his inspection. The ring gear was ruined, presumably by a loosely fitting starter. But Paul also spent several hours trying to understand some seemingly minor other problems - he found that one of the locating pins in the plate was slightly off. He replaced the plate and all associated parts with new (now CNC machined instead of on jigs) and didn't charge anything for the parts or his investigation time - five years after the sale! -- Chris Kantarjiev <cak@dimebank.com>

[1997/Sep/09] [vendor supplied] I now have a shop at this location and am fully occupied with doing full and partial restorations along with various ugrades to customers Morrises. Sells Morris Minor upgrades: his main claim to fame is a kit that mates a Datsun five-speed tranny to the back of a Minor engine. (I don't know how or if this is related to the Spridget kit built by Rivergate Restoration Products.) I recommend that if you want to do the kit, pay him to do the case modifications (there are several) - they are messy and time consuming and it is well worth the price he asks. He also has a "no leak rear seal" kit and an upgrade to the clutch linkage to make it smoother. He's been doing Minors for some time and loves to chat on the phone. -Chris Kantarjiev
