[2002/May/8] Wayne Snyder, who owns this machine shop in a suburb of Grand Rapids, Mich., is a former Solo II National Champion (DP 1985), and runner-up (EM 1999 - with co-driver Mal Kooiman winning). His engineering is excellent, and he is especially knowledgeable on how to make a fast Spitfire engine. But while he is very good with Spitfires, he also is good with other motors. His EM winner was a Toyota twincam motor in a Spitfire bodyshell. Wayne has not only given me the motors I have needed for years, he also has given me the technical support to use them efficiently.
